Zeke Basher ’18 and Hannah Jensen ’17 perform a duet version of “Somewhere Only We Know” for the Flight Cabaret.

Arlington High School’s elite choir, Flight, put on an amazing show over Valentine’s Day weekend. They worked for months to put together a beautiful show in a stunning setting and they did just that.

The show was held in the Byrnes Performing Art’s Center foyer. There was lovely low lighting and romantically decorated tables to set the mood for everyone. Those who purchased a full price ticket were seated at a table where you were served cake, coffee, water, and other snacks. There was also an option for those who didn’t pre-purchased a ticket. At the door, an overflow ticket cost $5 and there were chairs set up around the borders of the room for them to sit in.

The show started and ended with full group numbers performed by the entire choir, and between the two were solos, duets, and trios performed by the various members. Most of the songs played up the romantic atmosphere. It was a great opportunity for many couples to go support the arts together. Every performance was outstanding and the show was most definitely worth the price.

Most of the money earned from the Cabaret will be used for their upcoming trip to Disneyland where they will perform. The rest of the money earned will go towards their savings for the coming years.

If you missed the Valentine’s Day Cabaret, don’t worry. You can still see the dazzling talent of Flight in the Cabret that they have planned for April. Be sure to buy your tickets early and support our fantastic arts program.
