Arlington Girls Basketball lost a tough battle to the Glacier Peak Grizzles 55-63 for the District 1 playoff game Tuesday February 17th at Jackson High School. Glacier Peak started the game off with an early lead while Arlington continually fought back. Jessica Ludwig ’15 kept the game close with Arlington’s first 7 points of the game. Needing a spark, coach Marsh put in Jayla Russ ’16 who ended the game with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Glacier Peak went on a rally to end the first half up eleven points.

In the second half, Emma Janousek ’16 played solid defense and had some key assists, helping Arlington cut the Grizzles lead down to only 6 points, despite these gains, the eagles were still unable to pull off the win.

Arlington will now play Stanwood on Thursday night at Arlington High School at 7:00p.m. in a loser-out game. The winner will advance to play the winner of the Edmonds-Woodway vs. Ferndale on Saturday at 2:30 at Jackson High School.
