On Saturday the 25th your AHS Eagle Cross Country teams made history and won our first ever league title. Also the JV teams did very well in the final race of the season for them.

Starting the day off the Girls dominated the Wesco North 3A race. Led by Senior Veteran Shanelle Shirey getting 4th and Junior Emma Janousek not far behind in 5th. Then Junior Marie Gaudin and Senior Cassidy Rude came in 7th and 8th. Finally rounding off the top 5 was Freshman Marie Andrews in in 14th. They won the race with only 38 points.

Then after the day of rain your Varsity Boys got to show what they could do in their Wesco North 3A race. Leading the way was Junior sensation Nate Beamer getting 2nd to Jon Rodenheffer a fellow top in the state runner. Next came fellow Juniors Pieter Andrews, Zac Cushman, Mathew Taylor, and Michael Barene in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th. And having Sophmore Eric Acero in 8th and Senior Caleb Smith getting 10th had all 7 varsity boys in the top 10 for Wesco North. So your AHS XC boys dominated the meet with 20 points.

Districts is this next Saturday.
