Marie Gaudin (’16) rounds the corner in a sprint to the finish at the League race Saturday. She went on to be League Champion, leading the varsity girls to a first place finish.

In Lakewood on October 24th, the Arlington cross country team swept the Wesco 3A North division, winning all four races and bringing home the title of league champions.

The JV girls won the 3A North race, and finished off their season strong.  The JV boys won the entire Wesco conference race, therefore claiming the title of Wesco 3A North champions as well.

The varsity girls were able to put their top five runners in the race’s top ten, winning the league title with a low score of 28.  The varsity squad was led by senior Marie Gaudin, who was the Wesco North league champion individually.

The varisty boys had an even more outstanding performance, finishing with a perfect score of 15 after placing 7 runners in the top ten finishers of the race.  Senior Nate Beamer led the boys team, claiming the title of boys Wesco league champion.

Both of the varsity teams are moving onto districts next Saturday at South Whidbey High School, where they will compete for the district title, along with one of the three births to the state championships.
