Sasha’s Succulent Sweets
I, like many others, love the tastes of fall. One of my personal favorites is naturally pumpkin, and of course pumpkin spice. From coffee to muffins, I’m thoroughly obsessed for these magical months with everything pumpkin. I’m going to share with you one of my favorite recipes that satisfies every craving for something sweet I ever get. Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies!
Ingredients:
2 cups of flour
1 cup of white sugar
1 cup of canned pumpkin
½ cup of margarine
1 egg
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
½ teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of milk
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
2-3 cups of chocolate chips to preference
In one bowl, mix together the pumpkin, sugar, margarine, and the egg. Then, mix it together until it looks like an orange soupy mess all the way through. This is normal. Then, in a different bowl, mix together your flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix the milk and the baking soda together, and then add it to the dry ingredients. Add the dry to the wet, and stir till it all looks the same. Then, add your vanilla and chocolate chips, and mix one last time. Place your cookies onto parchment paper that’s on a cookie sheet, and bake at 350 degrees for about 14 minutes, or until firm. These are really easy to under bake, so be careful!
I hope you enjoy these little pumpkin treats as much as I do, they are one of the things that defines what fall means to me, I couldn’t go through the season without them.
