Committing to Academics
Kedrin Smith (‘23)
“I wouldn’t have a lot of motivation for school if it weren’t for my girlfriend being here and getting to see her everyday that gets me out of bed. I would make excuses and skip school days because it’s my senior year. I’m already committed to a college so I don’t have much motivation to do school work and I can make stuff up but I have a lot of respect for my schooling and myself that I also put pressure on myself to just to do the right thing. Just trying to stay strong through the school year and trying to keep up with my academics. Making my parents proud is very important to me. I see getting out of bed and doing the work is paying them back for everything they’ve done for me and the opportunities they have given me.”
