Tucker Bovard (’18) trots off field during a change in possession in Arlington’s win over Everett.

The Arlington Eagles were dominate in their victory on October 26th, beating Everett handily 51-7.

Everett showed to be putting up a fight in the first quarter, scoring a touchdown on a deep pass at time ran out. At the end of the quarter, the score had Arlington only up by a touchdown, 14-7. However, Arlington was able to run rampant offensively for the remainder of the game.

The Eagles charged down the field early in the second quarter, showing an impressive mix of both running and passing. The drive–which started deep in the Eagles’ own territory–was perfectly executed, and left Everett’s defense in shambles. The Eagles would later score on the drive, and, after a successful extra-point attempt, would go up 21-7.

“The offense was rolling on all cylinders,” said junior Nicholas Mendro of the drive.

The Eagles would continue their dominance well throughout the second half, shutting down Everett’s offense completely and plowing through their defense. The Eagles would put up an astounding thirty more points by the end of the game, defeating Everett by a final score of 51-7.

The victory comes as no surprise to the team, who have done well all season, currently sitting first in their division (5-0, 7-1). It also completes the sweep of Everett this week, as varsity was victorious 43-13, and the freshman also won 42-0.

The team looks to finish out the season strong, with their final game at home against Glacier Peak on Monday, November 2nd.
