Breakfast Casserole
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It provides the energy you need to start your day. Starting your day with a good healthy meal doesn’t just give you energy for the day but it also helps to heighten your metabolism. Breakfast also revitalizes your body from the lack of food, which helps with waking up in the morning.
Breakfast Casserole ingredients:
- 1 lb Pork Sausage (or any lean sausage of your choice)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 chopped pepper (color of pepper is your choice)
- 4 cups frozen unseasoned shredded hash browns
- 1 1/2 cup chopped broccoli
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 cup skim milk
Instuctions:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Use large pan on medium heat and cook sauteeĀ onion and sausage until sausage is fully cooked.
- Add frozen hash browns to sausage mixture. cook until hash browns are golden brown.
- Add chopped broccoli and chopped pepper to mixture. cook until mixture is nice and hot.
- Move hash brown-sausage mixture to 9×13 casserole pan.
- Crack 6 eggs open into a bowl and whisk together with milk until mixture is completely combined.
- Poor egg mixture over hash brown mixture evenly.
- Place casserole in the oven for 40-50 minutes.
- Insert knife into middle of casserole and see if the knife comes out clean.
- Casserole is done if the top of the casserole is golden brown and the knife comes out clean.
- Enjoy your breakfast.
