Senior Night for Boys Tennis
Yesterday March 23, the boys tennis team took on Everett High School. Before the matches started, the tennis team took a few minutes to celebrate their seniors.
Senior Night was held on court number one this year and parents lined the back of the courts to honor their seniors. This is a moment to celebrate and cherish the memories that the team has had with the seniors.
Coach Mendro started the Senior Night speeches off by thanking all the parents and family members for being there. Going down the line of seniors he gave each of them a goodie bag and a lei, which was put together by the wonderful parents.
The first seniors to be recognized for their hard work and dedication were: Ellie Wold and Adam Collins. Both managers for the team and have played tennis themselves. Mendro truly loved having two managers this year, so that if one needed to go with junior varsity they could.
Seniors: Josh Hurst, Cameron Janousek, Jacob Bolopue, and Jerry Chavez were then recognized next. Coach Mendro shared what great players they are and shared just how far each and every one has come.
Although the team did not take home the win, it was a great way to end the varsity teams’ last home matches of the season. Junior-varsity will have their last at home matches on Thursday. Tune in here for the live stream link to watch and or check out our youtube channel!
