No Parking Passes for Sophomores
This year, the office has declined sophomores parking passes, unless you sign up for one and get chosen. Even then you have to wait on a long list to get one when there’s an opening or just wait until junior year. This year, and every year before, most sophomores are getting their license and are super excited to be able to drive, especially to school. However, this year, sophomores are being dispirited by not being able to park in the parking lot.
“I was pretty disappointed when I found out I couldn’t get a parking pass,” sophomore Alysa Morzelewski (‘20) states. “I don’t like walking up the hill every morning,”.
Alysa is a sophomore who got her license in October. She is one of the many 10th graders who are getting their license, but not a pass.
There are also many people who happen to ride the bus, and would benefit from driving to school so that they don’t have to worry about missing the bus or being late because of it. There have been many complaints of long bus rides and though it is not anyones fault, they would still enjoy and benefit greatly from being able to not get home late and not have as much time to do after school clubs and activities, and even outside of school class projects.
Though it may seem frustrating, upperclassmen are the priority on this subject and won’t be at high school as long.
