JV Football shaking hands with the Glacier Peak Grizzlies after winning their season finale

On November 2, the junior varsity football team played their last game of the season. Their season finale was against Glacier Peak.

Although they were playing one of the top teams in the league, the Eagles defeated the Grizzlies with a final score of 27-0. It was a perfect ending to a season with a record of 5 wins and 3 losses.

The season finale was a tough game, but the Eagles offense and defense both worked in complete unison in order to pull off a victory.

“From the beginning summer workouts to our end game our team has been progressively getting better,” said starting quarterback Campbell Hudson (’18). “I’ve played this season with a great group of guys and they’re like my brothers. I think it’s been a good season.”

Hudson not only showed pride in his own personal season, but also in his team as a whole. Similarly, one of the coaches, Markkus Ellis, discussed the challenges that the team faced throughout the course of the season.

“We’ve faced some adversity in the beginning of the year,” said Ellis. “This is a very young team. But, they fought back well in every game and I couldn’t be more proud.”

Although our JV Eagles have finished their season, it is but a matter of time before we are witnessing their own triumphs underneath the Friday Night Lights.
