Arlington’s offensive line prepares to make a play during the game on October 7th.

Arlington’s freshman football team was victorious during their game versus the Oak Harbor Wildcats on October 7th.

Early in the game, the Eagles took a commanding lead, putting them up 32-0 in the first half. The Eagles would go onto score seven more points, for a final score of 39-7.

The team as a whole had a terrific game. However, there were a few individuals who had an exceptional game in their own right.

#37 Talon Williams scored a total of 14 points, while #32 Jack Sheward scored a total of 12 points. The most surprising of these accomplishments was the numerous yards gained by #79 Brady Tonne.

Tonne is captain of the offensive line, and specifically plays right and left guard.  This lineman however, had the privilege to play the position of running back. Although Tonne played most of the game at offensive line, he spent most of the 3rd quarter running the ball.

“Actually no; I didn’t have any idea they were going to do that,”  said Tonne regarding the position switch. “I was just getting ready to go back on the field after halftime and they told me I was going to run the ball. I was really surprised, and then really excited. They said it was just a little treat for playing so well on the [offensive] line.”
