For the fourth time, Arlington High School is participating in the Lip Dub directed by Mr. Ballew and Mr. Heinz. A Lip Dub is a recording of an environment with people lip-syncing to certain music. This year the inspiration for it was the critically acclaimed Best Action Film of 2015: Guardians of the Galaxy. Students in the leadership class, as well as others around the school, have attempted in getting the star of the movie, Chris Pratt, to make an appearance for the Lip Dub. Characters from the film such as Starlord, Groot, Gamora, and the Rocket Raccoon will be portrayed by the students within the production. They will navigate the school, lip-syncing tracks from the film such as “Hooked On a Feeling” by Blue Swede, and “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” by Elvin Bishop.

Jeremy Bishop ‘15, expressed his elevator scene as a moment of comedic relief. “I’m pretty excited for it” Bishop said.

Other roles in the Lip Dub, such as Novacore, are being played by Michael Forster ‘15 and Anthony Parra ‘15. When asked about this theme for the Lip Dub, Forster said “it’s pretty unique from what other schools have done in the past”.

The Lip Dub will be recorded on Friday, March 20th.
