Do What is Good For You

Basil Tibbles (‘24)

“A lot of my teachers inspire me to keep going. Like Mr. Keeley and Mr. Hurst especially. I came into this school unsure of what I wanted to do. I had some ideas, like, I really wanted to be an artist of sorts and my mom really wanted me to be a doctor, or lawyer, or something. Keeley pulled me aside after my first year and was like, ‘hey you should do what makes you happy, just don’t let that affect your school work’. It’s so important to keep on going, not just because you have a good grade, but because you genuinely want to do well and continue working hard! A word of advice I would give is to try to focus more on doing things because they make you feel happy, not just because it’s something you feel you need to do.”
