Missed Opportunities
Wednesday night’s game did not come in the Eagles’ favor. Unfortunately Arlington played some of the worst basketball they have all season, and because of this the Eagles suffered their first loss. “We came in thinking we were going to win which was a bad mindset, if we would have focused and just played how we knew how the outcome might have been different” says Emma Janousek. Every one knew that we were supposed to win this game, the odds were in our favor but we ended up losing. This was a “trap game” says Marsh. Meaning that since we were focused on Lynnwood we didn’t have our heads right when playing against Kamiak. The Eagles made many mistakes, such as turnovers, we didn’t shoot the ball well, and we gave up opportunities. This not being the normal way they play it was even a tougher game to lose than to one they played as hard as they could. This was a hard loss for most of the Arlington girls and there were a lot of tears after the game. But hopefully we learn from this loss and we get our heads right for the game against Lynnwood on Friday. Hope to see many fans there because it is going to be a good game.
