Wednesday night the varsity Arlington girl’s basketball team took the win against Marysville Pilchuck. The final score was 56-40. Along with the varsity both the Arlington JV and C team won their games. For the first game of the season they had a very good game. Hard work and dedication was the main factor in last nights win and the eagles never let up the whole game. There was a point in the game where the tomahawks took the lead up on the score board but that didn’t last long as the eagles quickly stepped up their game. The player of the game as Emma Janousek, which is the point guard for the eagles. She played amazing defense and scored points on offense.  Last year the eagles took second in state which means the will be expecting everybody’s best game when they step out on the court. Also the team for the eagles consists of eight sophomores two juniors and one senior, so they have a very young team. Even though they do not have much maturity they showed what they could do last night. Friday the lady eagles take on the Stanwood Spartans on their home court, come watch them get another win.
