Senior Trent Sarver, placed first in league for varsity tennis last week. This has been Trent’s goal for most of high school and he was able to achieve it this year. He is also the captain of the team, and has been since his junior year. Afterwards, Trent said, “I felt so accomplished. But I was also seeded to win so it was a stress relief and I’m glad I didn’t choke.” In order to do this, he had to play three tough competitors, one being another Arlington athlete: Connor Ghirardo, Kincaid Norris, and Rolend Ferrels. Now, Trent moves on to the district tournament, which starts on October 29th. His first match is against Joseph Lee, who is also a very skilled tennis player. Trent predicts himself to get second in state, which is a big deal and great accomplishment.
