Off Night for Eagles Volleyball
On October 21st the Eagles Volleyball played a well fought game against the Edmonds Woodway Warriors. Unfortunately, the Warriors walked away triumphant with the victory. The Warriors are first place in the standings and the Eagles knew that to ensure victory they would have to work hard to conquer them. In the first set the Eagles lost 21-25, and in the second set the Eagles won with a score of 25-18. Edomonds won the last two sets 24-26 and 20-25. At the end of it all the Warriors walked away with the victory. However the Eagles didn’t let them walk away with the win easily. Senior, Jessie Landis #18, had 8 blocks and 5 kills that shook up the Warriors. Along with some amazing kills from seniors, Audrey Frolich and Michaela Krogen. Both teams fought extremely hard with great rallies that seemed as if they were going to last all night long. Sadly, the ball landed more on the Eagles side of the net than the Warriors. The Eagle’s season continues next week with two home games. Monday is against the Everett Seagulls, and Wednesday (senior night) is against the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks. Both games have a red theme to show support for MP in their recent tragedy. The Eagles hope to end the season strong and go into districts ready to compete.
