Why I Want More Snow Days

As the last bit of snow fell this previous weekend, most students were hoping for no more snow days.  I was on the other side of the spectrum. I would rather have more snow days even if it means less days in the summer.

Although it looks like we won’t have any more snow coming in the near future, it’s always good to hope for the best.  The best, being less days of school in the middle of the year, and more days at the end. I’m all for leaving school for a few extra days to go outside in the snow.  For me, since I’ve always been out of town whenever it snows, it’s been quite a few years since I last saw snow.

With global warming dominating the news recently, it’s a pleasure to see that we still have a little bit of coldness in our life.

Snow can come in many forms.  There’s the slush-snow, the heavy-snow, the light-snow, and no-snow.  This past weekend we experienced a mix of light-snow, and no-snow. It was quite a bummer since most students had got prepared for another snow day, or to get out of their after school activities, only to find out they never needed too.

Whenever it snows I go through the various activities.  These activities include: sleeping longer, watching Netflix, going outside and playing in the snow, or walking to a friends house to do any of the three already mentioned.  During the summer months, it’s a lot harder to do anything since it’s so hot. Trying to sleep longer? You’ll get woken up by the light and the immense heat. Trying to watch Netflix?  You’ll have to get up every twenty seconds because you’re sticking to your seat because of the sweat.

Overall, the heat just makes everything horrible.  It is so much easier to just shut your windows if your cold, and just enjoy the nice mild temperature that is inside.
