Coming to theaters July 5, Spider-Man: Far From Home follows Peter Parker while he travels through Europe on a trip with his friends.  If you have not seen the trailer yet, I recommend watching it now because I am going to be talking about everything that happens in it.  All of the reactions and speculations come straight from the trailer released on January 15.

First things first, I’ve seen every movie, tv show, or video game that has been released involving Spider-Man, so I know a little bit about the character. I found that first scene shown in the trailer to be really cool, because it’s the first time we ever get to see spidey out of his natural habitat.  It’s sort of like a precursor to the rest of the events and locations that we will see in the rest of the trailer. Around thirty-five seconds into the trailer Peter says “Peter Parker here to pick up a passport”, and that scene just had me dying of laughter. When Nick Fury came in at one minute and ten seconds into the trailer, it was a real big shock to me.  Yes, I had seen pictures of the set and saw Fury hanging out around Peter, before the trailer was dropped, but it still surprises me that they would release that information in the first trailer. The rest of the trailer is just him in fight scenes, and showcasing the new villain, Mysterio, who is played by Jake Gyllenhaal. Overall, I would rate the trailer a solid 9/10.

I don’t really have too many speculations about the film, but the ones that I do have are quite fascinating.  For starters, we get to see a few villains in the trailer, and I was thinking to myself about who they are. Could this be a new Marvel Studios version of the sinister six?  Could this be the Elementals? Well the question is really up in the air since there are so many villains that belong to so many teams. Additionally, I personally felt like it was weird releasing a trailer now because Avengers: Endgame hasn’t come out, or even shown that Spider-Man, and other characters, are alive again.  It’s basically just spoiling the outcome of Avengers 4 for us. But let’s be honest here, everyone knew that they were going to come back, I mean Spider-Man: Homecoming made $880 million in the box offices. Those are all the speculations that I had when first watching the trailer, as more trailers come out more speculations will arise.

Personally, I can’t wait for this movie to come out, nor can I wait for any of the other Marvel movies to come out.  If you are just starting to get into Marvel movies, I would highly recommend starting with Spider-Man: Homecoming and just working your way up from there.  As long as you know anything about any of the characters, you’ll be able to understand what’s going on during the movies.
