Fresh Start

For some people, a new semester means a fresh start for the year being. If the first semester didn’t go well, then you have a chance to redeem yourself. When a semester begins, you begin to have favorite classes, you may also realize that some of the classes will be hard and the others may be easy. After talking to multiple people, there are a lot of different individuals opinions. The student body of Arlington High School has there own opinions about how they feel about math. Three people have said that their math class is the hardest of them all. Joel White a current sophomore said “ in my opinion, geometry is my hardest class.” Other than geometry, people may find the different levels of algebra difficult to. “Algebra 2 is my hardest class because it tends to drain energy from my brain and it takes a lot of time” stated Nathan Senff. Jefferson Hoskinson said that “algebra 2 is my hardest class” as well.

Other than all the hard classes that the student body has, there are also possibilities of having an easy class. When asked about easy classes, there was a wide variety of classes. For Amanda Schulz has decided that “speech and debate is my easiest class”. If speech and debate is your favorite class, then other people such as Allison Jesus states that her easiest class is “ theatre production because I have been in it the past four years, so I know what is expected”. Now, besides these classes, there may be another hands on class that someone may consider easy. Jeff Hoskinson’s easiest class is “art studio.”

If you don’t think you have a hard or easy class, you may have noticed you have a favorite class. Hailey Thomas’ favorite class is “drama because acting is my life and being able to act everyday makes me so happy.” Others may sat that “history is my favorite class because Mr. Shilaty makes it fun” stated Zachary Separovich.

Now just because the semester just started over doesn’t mean you have to have everything figured out just yet. It also doesn’t mean slack off until closer to the end of the semester. Over the course of this semester, you will those easy classes will get a heck of a lot harder. So keep your head up high and work through those difficult classes, as long as you work hard and manage your time well you will be just fine.
