Thanksgiving Fun

Mr. Christiansen poses for thanksgiving with his supposed to be turkey hand, but is now a kitten hand!

Thanksgiving can be a fun time for everyone! It’s where friends and families come together to catch up on life, eat some good food, and be thankful for many things. Though this all is true, many people celebrate differently.

“Our family is Norwegian so we make lefse,” says Hunter Olsen (‘20). “We also always go to my Grandmas, it’s a tradition.” Speaking of traditions, many different families have many different traditions, whether it be their heritage or or just something fun they found on Pinterest.

“We always have scalloped potatoes, we have other potatoes too but we always have to have scalloped potatoes,” Mr. Christiansen states. In case you didn’t know, scalloped potatoes are slices of boiled potato that are put in a buttered dish, sprinkled with cheese and browned in the oven. “They’re really good,” says Christiansen.

Olsen (‘20) does also say that “I wouldn’t change a thing about my Thanksgiving because that’s how our history is.” Hunter is very happy with his thanksgiving, whereas “I would make it a Wednesday so that we could have the whole week off,” Christiansen laughs off.

Thanksgiving is a fun time, hopefully you were able to enjoy the most out of it!
