Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree
Green ferns glisten with bright lights, the usual kindergarten ornaments, classic yarn, delicate gold and red balls hanging lightly on a branch, and a pretty star glistening on the tippy top. Under this Christmas tree do you know what you might possibly find? Why some cute big, small, long, tall presents of course!
“Money.” Jess Ludwig, a junior, answered for I’m sure, many of the students at AHS when asked the famous Christmas question, ‘What do you want?’ Many freshmen were excited to answer the question, like Tori Murray, who desperately wants concert tickets to the infamous, One Direction.
Then there were the more sentimental sides of it, with a freshman, John Mason, saying, “All I want is to see somebody smile from something I gave them.” And if that weren’t nice enough he added, “It is better to give than to receive.” Another student who seems to appreciate the important things in life was Madison Green, 11. “What I want for Christmas…is more brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray that through Christmas time people will see the true meaning of this time and come to the Lord.”
We all have different favorite things and opinions among “the new x-box game, Fall Out 3.” (Brett Moore, 11). Or Hailey Bower, a freshman, who dreams of an ’81 Toyota truck. But, I guess we’ll all know what we get on Christmas. So, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
