Academic Habits
Being a senior this year, I have realized that my habits on doing projects have greatly changed. Because of this I was very curious on how different grades go about doing projects. The first person I interviewed was Tasia Greenizer. “We haven’t really had any big projects yet, but the I-Search is coming and I have never done anything like it” (Greenizer). She explained how when it comes to essays she tends to procrastinate a little, but usually gets it done ahead of time. “I tend to struggle a little bit when it comes to doing the outline for essays and I have a hard time starting them” (Greenizer). As it shows Sophomore’s have it a tad easy and have a lot coming to them senior year.
Next I interviewed Junior Rachel Hoobler. Going in to junior year the big assignment that they have is the scholarly paper. “I decided to write about obesity in America” (Hoobler). “I believe people are more happy when they are healthy”(Hoobler). Next I decided to ask how far along she is on her essay and she said she already turned in the first draft. “I told myself I wasn’t going to procrastinate on this cause it was a huge paper and I didn’t want to stress about it” (Hoobler). Unlike Rachel, not a lot of people actually have their essay done or stressing about getting it done. Rachel is already ahead of the game and ready to pass her paper hopefully on the first try!
Last but not least, I interviewed Tyler Williamson. “For my senior project I decided I am going to build a flat bed” (Willamson). He said he decided to do it because he really like trucks and it was a learning experience. “I Have started my project but I really don’t want to finish it and I have no motivation” (Williamson). Hopefully Tyler can get it together and finally finish his project and be ready to present.
This just proves going through your high school year there are many different challenges and even upper classmen can procrastinate along the way.
