Gianni’s Ristorante Italiano Review
Gianni’s Ristorante Italiano brings real, traditional Italian cooking right into your own backyard. This little hole in the wall takes everyone by surprise with its homey atmosphere and 5 star quality meals.
Gianni’s is located at 5030 Evergreen Way in Everett. Gianni’s is a family owned restaurant that started out in Naples, Southern Italy. Vince, Gianni’s father, moved to Seattle in 1954 and later opened their first restaurant. Gianni’s goals were simple: they wanted to provide authentic Italian meals at a price that families could afford, just like the neighborhood restaurants and pizzerias of Naples.
I’ve only been to Gianni’s once and I’d definitely go back. Hands down, this is the best Italian food I’ve had so far.
The menu has a really wide variety. I was surprised to see the menu size, because the restaurant is so small. I ordered Scaloppine Pinoli (a very special preparation of delicate veal, prosciutto ham, pine nuts and cream).
This was my first time trying veal. I’m not a big veal person, but this dish totally changed my perspective. On the menu, you can order the entree a la carte or dinner size. If you order the dinner size, the meal is $21.95 which includes their housemade Minestrone soup and a small salad.
For dessert, I ordered Creme Brulee Cheesecake. Honestly, it was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Their meals are on the pricey side, but that’s just the price you have to pay for great Italian food. I’m the type of person who splurges on a good meal, but for the average high schooler’s food budget, it’s not recommended.
I personally enjoyed the atmosphere and hospitality the staff gave my friends and I. They always served us with a smile. The ambiance of the dim lights, dark accents and classical music made me feel like I was in a small Italian Villa. I liked the small town rustic feel or the decor; I don’t think that the restaurant would be the same without it.
Overall, I would give Gianni’s Ristorante Italiano a 9/10.
