Win Pizza for your Photos
Members of the AHS Staff are looking for a new cover photo to adorn the front page of Arlington High’s Facebook page.
Arlington’s Facebook page is an essential tool that provides information to both students and parents alike. Since its creation on February 7, 2014, the cover photo has always been the school itself, and according to AHS Secretary Charity Conley, it is time for a “spruce up” of the page. The new photograph should fully represent our school in a more intimate way.
Because of this, the AHS Facebook page is requesting help from the student body. By submitting a picture that you deem as the best representation of Arlington High School, you can help add creativity and a fresh look to the page that many visit to learn a variety of information from regarding our school.
As explained by Ms. Conley, “[The picture] could be anything, as long as it gets the viewer to say ‘woah.’ It can range from anything between a pencil to the football field.
“The only rule is that no faces are allowed in the pictures,” said Conley.
The no faces rule stems from a couple of things. “Aside from the photo opt out technicalities, we thought a photo that captures the feel of our entire school shouldn’t be a just a few kids. However, I love those photos for Facebook posts, just not what I’m looking for in a cover photo,” Conley said.
Not only does the winner get their picture published to the page, but he/she will receive two pizzas, soda, and breadsticks, which will all be delivered during the winner’s lunch on Friday, December 4.
Time is waning, and the deadline to submit will be Friday, November 20th. You may submit up to two photos, and they must all be submitted by the 20th to [email protected].
