As the end of the year approaches, many students are scrambling to improve their grades. While some are finding success, others continue to struggle to finish the year strong. Balancing motivation and time management can be difficult, so how are students managing to improve their grades?
“I would have a talk with my teachers and figure out what I need to get done.” Caleb Francois said, a freshman at Arlington High School.
Many teachers are more than willing to help, but students often need to make the first step and ask for support. However, most students don’t want to get to the point where they are asking their teachers for help. So how can students avoid getting to this point?
“Getting all of that homework done and doing my assignments right away, and spending less time procrastinating,” Reese Maddy said, a Junior at AHS.
Staying on top of assignments and managing deadlines is key to maintaining strong grades, and even poor ones.Unfortunately in some cases, those efforts might not be enough, leaving them with limited options and a strong drive to do whatever it takes to succeed.
“I would put more time into my schoolwork than outside of school stuff. Try to get extra credit as much as I can and do everything in my power to turn in everything online.” Abigail Crockett said, a Senior at AHS.
High school can be a challenging time, full of academic and personal obstacles. When it comes to maintaining grades, staying calm and focused is crucial.
“Don’t get so stressed about it and just make sure that you’re on top of things.” Blake Burr said, a Freshman at AHS.
