Prom tickets will be on sale throughout the month of April, with prices fluctuating over time. Tickets will start at $50 with ASB and $50 without from April 1-22, then switch to $60 and $65 from April 23-30. Prom will be at Crossroads at Thomas Family Farms on May 3, 2025.
This year, changes have been made in reference to ticket sales. Tickets will be given on May 1 and 2 in paper form this year.
“The WiFi just doesn’t cooperate with us all the time… and since our prom is at a farm, the WiFi is not amazing there. So, this year we decided to do physical tickets,” Lukas Nations, a junior class officer, said.
The junior class makes a variety of decisions when it comes to the set up and organization of prom. The ticket sales are used as a fundraiser for their class.
“It does create a little bit more work because we do have to go in and individually write the names of the people onto tickets… but other than that, it is just the same as how we’ve done it before,” Nations said.
Prices will change based on the date as a final push to ticket sales. This is because the last minute sales may create added stress for parties involved in the creation of prom. These ticket sales will help drive the profit margin up for the junior class.
“We try not to raise them any higher than we need to. We just take into consideration the venue, DJ, food, and then divide that to make sure we have a profit in mind that we want to make,” Jessica Angel, ASB secretary, said.
The cost and timeline of tickets this year has been up to the junior class and how they chose to handle it.
“We made our decisions based on how many people were buying them. They bump up because people wait so long… we came up with this decision just to earn more money,” Bailey Kulbeck, a junior class officer, said.
