#14 Kerra Williamson (’16) battles against a defender to win possession.

October 13th saw the Arlington girls soccer team face off against the Glacier Peak Grizzlies. The Eagles were victorious; besting the Grizzlies, 2-0.

Arlington came out firing during the first half of the game. Among others, shots were taken by #16 Danielle Baker (’16) and #18 Olivia Larson (’16). With 15 minutes left in the first half, Larson’s looping shot made it just over the head of Glacier Peak’s goalie for the first goal of the game.

Throughout the first half, Arlington’s defense shined; allowing the offense to have lots of scoring opportunities.

The second half saw more shutdown defense from Arlington, in addition to another goal by Baker. The Eagles finished strong, with #7 Alison Enell (’16)  taking yet another shot on goal with only two minutes left in the game. The two goals by Larson and Baker proved to be enough, as Arlington triumphed to a 2-0 victory over the Grizzlies.

“It was a fun win,” said #6 Channing Hudson (’16).

Arlington looks to continue their winning ways this Thursday; facing off against Marysville-Getchell in Marysville.
